I wonder:
What do butterflies do at night?
The same thing we do at night - sleep! Usually on the trunk of a tree or under a leaf. Most will fold their wings above their bodies while they sleep which hides the bright colors on the topsides of their wings. The undersides tend to be drab-colored so they are camouflaged and hidden from predators while they rest. This is an owl butterfly resting on a tree trunk in Costa Rica late at night.
